Salary: $11.75 to $11.95 /hour

JOB DESCRIPTION PROGRAM TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required with some college or Associates Degree in mental health related field preferred.
  • Must be flexible and possess a variety of skills.
  • Physical health compatible with demands of the job and completion of a medical exam within two weeks preceding employment, including TB test and drug screening.
  • Three character references.
  • Preferred qualifications for position: Lived experience with behavioral health issues.

BASIC SKILLS

  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other residential home staff.
  • The ability to work and communicate with mentally handicapped individuals.
  • The ability to understand and carry out the treatment plan within the context of a home program.
  • The ability to work as part of a treatment team and accept supervision.
  • The ability to develop a working knowledge of the policies of the home.
  • The ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE RESIDENCE

  • Assists in planning and implementing individual treatment plans through in-home programs.
  • Observing and documenting residents behavior and physical changes and maintaining daily logs, charts, etc.
  • Carry out recreational and rehabilitative activities with clients.
  • Assisting the home supervisor in running the house on a day-to- day basis.
  • Assist in planning and preparing meals.
  • Assist in maintaining home in a clean, orderly fashion.
  • Transport clients for support services and recreational activities.
  • Act as advocate for the client to ensure protection of the client's rights.
  • Participate in staff and clinical meetings as scheduled.
  • Participate in all in-services.
  • Administer and record prescribed medications for residents.
  • Reports to the Group Home Supervisor.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • A part-time employee is one who is employed on regular basis and works less than 30 hours a week.
  • On-call employee is one who is used in emergencies, etc.
  • Employee must meet minimal qualifications before hired.
  • Employee will be evaluated after 4 months, 8 months,1 year, and yearly thereafter.
  • All terms and conditions of employment will be read by the employee and employee will sign a statement saying they have read and understood these conditions.

Group Home Supervisor

Salary: $34,000 to $45,000/year

SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Master's degree in human services and one year of experience providing services to beneficiaries with serious mental illness, or a bachelor's degree in human services and at least two years of experience.
  • Physical health compatible with the demands of the job and completion of a pre- employment medical exam, T.B. test and drug screen.
  • Two employment and/or character references. Preferred qualifications for position: Lived experience with behavioral health issues.

RESPONSIBILITY TO RESIDENTS AND STAFF

  • Records treatments plans used in the residential care. Collects and maintains daily logs of resident’s behavior, re-designing and updating those charts when necessary. Assures plan is carried out by staff.
  • Attends case meetings in the development and updating of treatment plans, and assures staff will be present at those meetings.
  • Conducts staff meetings to discuss and formulate house plans.

SUPERVISE STAFF

  • Arranges weekly staff schedules.
  • Interviews and selects staff to work with residents.
  • Evaluates all staff at appropriate intervals of 4 months, 8 months and every year after.
  • Conducts staff meetings.
  • Provides and coordinates in-service training to all staff.
  • Formulates in-service plans in conjunction with evaluation of employees. Maintains a record of all inservices attended.
  • Assure staff carry out daily routine.
  • Monitors staff behavior.
  • Assure that residents receive proper care at all times.
  • Arranges for work duties writing, scheduling arrangement.

IN-HOME DUTIES

  • Read client daily logs as often as possible. Sign your name, date, and position when read. Make sure aides have signed their name, position, date, shift and have logged appropriately.
  • Read all daily logs prior to the day of the case meetings. Prepare any notes needed.
  • Prepare all case staffing forms prior to the day of the case meeting.
  • Monitor daily all medical (medication) sheets to insure that staff has signed for the appropriate medications passed, and that there are no omissions, error’s, etc.
  • Make all doctor appointments when needed.
  • Monitor your staff logs.
  • Performs all Direct Care duties as needed.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

  • Hold one staff/clinical meeting per month/or quarterly depending on need.
  • Know your hour expectations for each pay period.
  • Insure full time staff do not go over 40 hours per week and part time staff do not exceed 30 hours per week.
  • Monitor staff sick days and personal days.
